05 Aug Living in NYC
Like Frank Sinatra coined “The city that never sleeps,” its been a complete whirlwind since Val moved from Miami to New York City in 2021 to attend NYU. She was accepted to the Steinhardt music program at NYU majoring in Music Technology. Last year, Val was living in a dorm right next to Washington Square Park, where the energy of the students and the New York lifestyle kept her inspired and motivated. With a new semester starting in September, she will be living in the East Village with a couple of her best friends.
When Val isn’t attending school, she’s either writing lyrics, producing or attending concerts, (and of course hitting up the local pubs and clubs). An avid concertgoer, Val has gone to over 15 concerts in the last year, including Coachella and Gov Ball. Her only goal is to camp out and get barricade, so if you see somebody’s sleeping in the front of the line there’s a good chance it’s Deadbeat Girl.
